My kids had Friday off from school and I decided to take them to the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth, GA. If you are in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend checking it out. We have been visiting on and off for the past seven years. We started going when my oldest was two or three because he was SOOO into trains. He loved Thomas with all his being. Going to this museum at three was a dream for this kid. It was like visiting a train playground from his very best dreams. He could not get enough of running up and down the aisles of the train cars and pretending to be a conductor. Now at almost 10 he is not into Thomas but is very interested in the history of the trains. He is also fascinated by the engineering that makes them go. This kid talked some of the museum employees ears off. Thankfully the people at the museum are very knowledgeable and happy to fill his sweet mind with facts.
Its also a fun place to take pictures! Everything has so much texture and the color of the trains and their interiors are muted and amazing. Then there are the lines and opportunities to frame your subject. It's quite fantastic.
I could make an album with all the pictures I've taken over the years. Here is a blog I did about two years ago.
Here is one of my babies in 2012. They were so LITTLE!
Here are the ones from this past week. Thanks for looking!
