For the second half of our Spring Break we headed over to Huntsville, Al to visit the Marshall Space Flight Center. We have been wanting to visit for some time and the center did not disappoint! We spent about 4 hours at the center but you really could spend much more time. We did not do the bus tour or IMAX theather. Our favorite exhibit was the Saturn V hall. Wow. All the rockets on display are big but the Saturn V is massive. There is a replica on display out side and also a original rocket inside the Davidson Center. We were fascinated with learning about how astronauts trained, lived and loved looking at their gear. There is a airstream trailer on display where the astronauts were quarantined after each of the Apollo missions. There is so much to look at. If you have a child interested in space, you should definitley visit the center.
We did not spend much time in Huntsville aside from visiting the Marshall Space Flight Center. It seamed like a very cute town! In addition to the NASA museum, there is also a zoo and botanical garden in town.
Anyway, on to some pictures. Most of these are at the Marshall Space Flight Center. Also, our hotel had a indoor pool which we had to our selves! The kids loved this.
