The Carlson's Take Manhattan--Lady Liberty, Grand Central and the New York Public Library

August 09, 2018

On our final day in Manhattan, we took a Circle Line Cruise to see the Statue of Liberty.  Its such a iconic monument and felt is was really important for the kids to see.  We opted to take a cruise that started in Midtown, went down the Hudson River, and passed the Statue but did not stop.  In order to climb the statue you need to make a reservation months in advance which we did not do.  Honestly it was so hot out...I can't imagine climbing the Statue in that heat.  The cruise was about a hour long and there was a lovely breeze out on the river.  The was a tour guide that was very knowledgeable and told us all kinds of historical facts about the Statue and other sites along the Hudson.  It was really a perfect excursion for our family.

This is my last post about our fabulous trip!  Along with Statue of Liberty photos, I have include a couple other shots of us around the City. Feel free to email me if you are planning on taking your kiddos on a trip to NYC and some questions. I am in no way a expert but I am happy to share my experience.  Thanks for following along!!
