Charlotte's Newborn Session - Brookhaven Newborn Photographer

March 18, 2024

Slowly I am getting around to blogging my late 2023 session.  Better late than never!

Bring me all the newborns and their adoring fur baby siblings!  I am so happy I got to capture these first moments for this sweet family.

My approach to lifestyle newborn sessions is about the same as a family one.  I like to keep things simple and flexible.  When you sign up for your session, you will fill out a short questionnaire about your family.  With that information, I will build a loose game plan for our time together.  I honestly find these sessions easy and fun.  A home with a newborn is naturally busy which gives me so much to observe and photograph.  Even when you are not actively doing some thing for your child, you are still loving on them.  All the diapers changes, snuggles and general chaos needs to be captured so you don't forget these precious days.

I always take my cues from the baby and parents.  Baby's needs are met first and I don't allow the baby to fuss for a photo.  I don't use props of put baby in fancy poses. I aim to capture this moment in time in the space you call home.  I love incorporate the baby's bedroom and any sentimental items you may have collected for them.  I love capturing those details you put together in the baby's room. In this session mom wanted to capture baby in her baptismal gown.

This sweet girlie was so easy and sweet.  She slept the majority of the time and barely made a peep.  Her big fur siblings were so excited to have company and they very much hammed it up.  I love how curious they were of the newest family member.   Here are a few of my favorite moments with this sweet family.

Enjoy!
